The Ole Miss Rebels men’s basketball team struggled against the Auburn Tigers last month, but football head coach Lane Kiffin hopes for a better performance on Saturday night.

Although the Rebels lost 82-59 to Auburn on the court in their first meeting, Kiffin expects Ole Miss to “beat Auburn again” this weekend, referring to his team’s football victory over the Tigers in 2023.

On Saturday morning, the coach posted a photo of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium with the statement, which you can view here.

This season’s football victory over Auburn represented the Rebels’ second consecutive triumph in the series, and it was part of one of the best seasons in school history.

Ole Miss completed an 11-win season for the first time in program history in 2023, including a 28-21 victory over the Tigers on The Plains.

What made the victory even sweeter for Ole Miss was the fact that former Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze now coaches Auburn, and the Rebels have not been shy in trolling Freeze on social media in recent months.
