Here are eleven guys who the Green Bay Packers plan to cut or not re-sign in free agency.
The Green Bay Packers enter the offseason with the goal of improving the squad and advancing deeper in the playoffs.

The Packers discovered that Jordan Love is a long-term viable alternative as the starting quarterback. Whether he reaches the heights of Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers remains to be seen, but Green Bay can build around him.

The Packers may improve their secondary and defense in general. The future is bright, except that the Packers are above the projected 2024 salary cap. Fortunately, they can generate some cap space through cuts and contract rearrangement.

The Packers’ front office will have to decide on 11 unrestricted free agents, two restricted free agents, and five exclusive free agents. Making three significant cuts and not bringing back seven players is how the Green Bay Packers can improve while freeing up salary cap room.

The Green Bay Packers need to cut these three players to free up salary cap space.

He is presently the Packers’ largest cap hit, with an estimated $40 million in cap space. Bakhtiari was once considered the best left tackle in the game. Injuries have limited him to only 13 games over the last three seasons. He only got to play in the season opener against the Chicago Bears before being shut down.

That significant cap burden, combined with the mystery of whether he would ever play again, makes him a prime cut target. Cutting him results in a $19 million dead cap hit but also saves $20 million in cap space. Some supporters are willing to let him reunite with Rodgers in New York if he agrees to play again.
