In the summer transfer window of 2023, Hojlund left Atalanta for Machester United for a reported €75 million, plus €10 million in add-ons.
In his one and only season in Bergamo, the Danish international made 34 appearances for La Dea and scored ten goals.
Although he had a difficult start to his career at Manchester United, the 21-year-old has scored seven goals in his first 20 Premier League games and is one of the most productive players in the top five leagues in Europe by 2024.
Despite the fact that he is now sidelined due to a muscular ailment, Red Devils boss ten Hag stated the team is happy with the former Atalanta star.
“There was a severe lack of excellent possibilities. That’s why, as Goal.com reports, we were thrilled to sign Rasmus Hojlund, a player on par with Manchester United,” he said to reporters on Sunday.
Charles De Ketelaere of Milan and Gianluca Scamacca of West Ham were Atalanta’s replacements for Hojlund. In 29 games, the Belgian striker has ten goals and seven assists.
