For the most part, the last few years have seen excellent recruitment for the Gunners.

The fact that even the players who were greatly questioned are beginning to perform well demonstrates Mikel Arteta’s extraordinary talent detection skills.

Koopmeiners is apparently the next name on the shortlist of the Arsenal manager.

It seems practically a given that Arsenal will bolster their midfield in the summer.

Thomas Partey might leave the Gunners, and the contracts of Mohamed Elneny and Jorginho are about to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s side will be extremely short in the center of the park if they all depart.

A number of excellent midfield players have been connected to Arsenal, and according to a source, the club may make an offer for Teun Koopmeiners after scouting him three months ago.

This week, TuttoJuve reported that Juventus, who also want to bolster their midfield in the summer, are keeping an eye on the Dutch defensive midfielder.

The Old Lady, however, is simply unable to compete financially with English teams like Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea, who, according to the source, may all make offers for the midfield player at the end of the season ranging from £42 million to 51 million (€50 million to €60 million).

Although defensive midfielders aren’t usually anticipated to score a lot of goals, Teun Koopmeiners is a unique player with really impressive stats.

The Dutchman scored 33 goals and contributed 10 assists in his final two seasons at AZ Alkmaar, an incredible output for a number six. He tied the record of 10 goals he scored for Atalanta the previous season.

To put that into perspective, he has scored fewer goals in all competitions this season than Martin Odegaard and James Maddison, two of the finest attacking midfielders in the Premier League.

This summer, Koopmeiners would be a fantastic addition to many teams. It would be intriguing to watch if Arsenal makes an attempt to sign him.
