The market opening next week will signal the beginning of the NFL free agency bonanza. One name that sticks out among the Pro-Bowlers and All-Pro free agents is Derrick Henry, a former megastar of the Tennessee Titans. The NFL rushing leader for 2019 and 2020 anticipates a lot of attention. Matt Lombardo of Fanbuzz, a seasoned NFL source, claims that the Baltimore Ravens stand to gain the most from signing the rusher. The Ravens could drastically alter their strategy with this possible signing.

One-time All-Pro running back Derrick Henry was assigned to the Baltimore Ravens, the defending AFC North champions, in Matt Lombardo’s piece “One NFL Free Agent Each Team Must Sign.” Without holding anything, Lombardo referred to Henry as “the missing ingredient” in Baltimore’s Super Bowl run.

Henry would provide the Ravens with the between-the-tackles bruiser they need to elevate their offense to new levels. Few combinations would be more taxing on a defense than having to stop Henry’s hard running style, Zay Flowers’ explosiveness on the perimeter, and Lamar Jackson’s elusiveness as a scrambler out of the pocket. Henry might be the key component that the Ravens need to win a Super Bowl as early as 2024.
