Eric Johnson, the mayor of Dallas, has boldly suggested that the Kansas City Chiefs could move to Dallas and join the Cowboys. Johnson thinks Dallas can manage two NFL clubs with no issues.

Johnson stated Dallas should get a second team when CBS polled football fans on social media about which city should get one more franchise.

“We play to win, which is why Dallas was rated the best sports city in the US.

As I’ve said previously, our market is large enough, expanding sufficiently, and passionate about football to sustain a second NFL team—especially one [with an owner] with a strong local connection,” he said.Following Jackson County voters’ refusal to approve a sales tax to refurbish Arrowhead Stadium, Quinto Lucas, the mayor of Kansas City, declared that he would keep exploring for methods to retain the Chiefs and Major League Baseball’s Kansas City Royals in the city “for generations to come.” Johnson then posted a photo-shopped image of Fair Park’s Cotton Bowl Stadium on social media, adding the Chiefs emblem to the structure.

He called the Kansas City-based team the Dallas Texans in the post’s description.

The Cowboys have called Dallas home since 1960.

Before moving to Kansas City in 1963, the Chiefs were known as the Dallas Texans, and they shared the Cotton Bowl stadium with them.
