Rashee Rice, a receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, has stated that he accepts “full responsibility” for his alleged lack of presence at the scene of an accident that left four persons with minor injuries.
Over the weekend, at around 6:20 p.m. local time, a car purportedly belonging to the Super Bowl champion was involved in an accident on North Central Expressway.
After Rice’s involvement in the collision was confirmed by a police call sheet, the authorities started searching for him.
According to authorities, Rice was driving a Lamborghini sport utility vehicle that was leased, and it was one of two sports vehicles speeding on a Dallas freeway, along with a Corvette.
According to authorities, the Lamborghini and Corvette’s occupants fled the scene without making sure that any of the other cars or persons involved were okay.
The automobiles produced a chain-reaction accident.
There were six cars in the collision.
At this point, Rice had come out and accepted “full responsibility” for his “part in this matter.”
Rice stated on social media, “Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident.
” “I fully accept responsibility for my involvement in this, and I’ll keep helping the appropriate authorities.
I genuinely sorry to everyone who was affected by the disaster on Saturday.
“Rice was using The Classic Lifestyle, a Dallas-based luxury vehicle rental firm, to hire the Lamborghini.
According to The Classic Lifestyle’s attorney Kyle Coker, Rice would have been the sole driver permitted per the terms of the agreement.
The automobile is valued at over $250,000 and may be rented for roughly $1,750 per day.
The Lamborghini and the Corvette, according to the police, lost control while driving on the far-left lane of the North Central Expressway in Dallas.
Other cars crashed as a result of the Lamborghini ending up on the shoulder and striking the center median wall.Four passengers in the other vehicles had minor injuries.
Rice is assisting the authorities in their investigation, which is currently ongoing in an attempt to identify those responsible.
It’s unclear if Rice was involved in the collision, how, or even if he will face charges. Rice was admittedly operating one of the vehicles, according to his attorney, state senator Royce West.
