Oklahoma Sooners’ star player has been arrested on wednesday
Oklahoma defensive back Makari Vickers was arrested by the OU Police Department Wednesday morning.
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office verified to The Transcript that Vickers was arrested at 2:52 a.m. on Wednesday and lodged into Cleveland County Detention Center. The OU Police Department has yet to reply to The Transcript’s request for further information.
Vickers posted a bail at 9:34 a.m. Randall Sweet and Ryan Chapman of AllSooners were the first to report Vickers’ arrest.
Vickers, a sophomore on the Oklahoma football team, played eight games as a rookie last season. He had eight total tackles and one pass breakup.
Vickers was a consensus four-star talent from Quincy, Florida.
