San Francisco 49ers superstar player moves to Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed possibly the best offensive player in the NFL.
Who wins if the Pittsburgh Steelers go back to the start of the 2024 offseason and clean out everyone’s roster? Well, the black and gold get their current quarterback, Russell Wilson, and potentially the best running back/offensive weapon in the NFL.
NFL.com’s Chad Reuter conducted a complete re-draft of the NFL, wiping everyone’s roster clean and beginning from scratch, similar to a Madden video game. The Steelers took the 20th choice in the fantasy draft and added San Francisco 49ers standout Christian McCaffrey to their roster.
“The 2023 Offensive Player of the Year has been healthy for two straight seasons. “The all-purpose stud is deserving of a top draft pick,” Reuter says.
In the second round, the Steelers stick with a familiar face. After witnessing all of the big-name quarterbacks fall off the board, Pittsburgh decides to stay with what they have and selects Russell Wilson as their quarterback.
In the course of acquiring Wilson, the Steelers pass on Baker Mayfield and rookie second-round pick Jayden Daniels, who is chosen one choice later.
“Who am I to stand in the way of a Steelers club that signed Wilson this offseason? “Head coach Mike Tomlin will work with the veteran to ensure all is well in Pittsburgh,” Reuter writes.
In the third round, the Steelers selected Frank Ragnow, an offensive tackle from the Detroit Lions. Then, in the fourth round, they switch to the defensive side of the ball, replacing T.J. Watt with New York Giants standout Kayvon Thibodeaux.
Their great picks continue into the fifth round, as the squad finds its WR1. If Brandon Aiyuk does not end up in Pittsburgh in real life, his running partner will find his way to the Steel City in this draft as the Steelers select Deebo Samuel.
They continue the next two rounds with safety Xavier McKinney, welcome back one of their own, and top off with captain Cam Heyward.
