Bulldogs superstar player has been confirmed dead
It is with great regret that the Bulldogs announce the death of Club legend Geoff Robinson.
Geoff Robinson, also known as “Robbo,” was a key contributor to the Bulldogs’ success in the late 1970s and 1980s. Geoff made his debut for the club in 1977 and quickly established himself as a fearsome forward known for his ferocity.
Geoff made 139 first-grade appearances with the Bulldogs, scoring six tries and playing in the Bulldogs’ premiership wins in 1980 and 1984, as well as the 1986 Grand Final. Geoff’s hard-hitting style and unwavering work ethic on the field earned him the respect of teammates, opponents, and spectators alike.
Geoff was granted Life Membership to the Football Club in 1984.
After retiring, he coached Canterbury’s Under-21 team to the Premiership in 1991.
Geoff will be sadly missed, but his legacy will live on via the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. We are grateful for his outstanding contributions to our Club.
At this sad time, the Club wishes to extend its heartfelt condolences to the Robinson family and friends.
