Following a dismal 2023 NFL season, the Tennessee Titans entered the summer having to address a number of concerns across their squad.

The Titans’ disastrous 6-11 record and last-place finish in the AFC South led to significant organizational changes.

In a significant change in offensive strategy, Tennessee fired head coach Mike Vrabel and hired Brian Callahan in his place.

As the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, Callahan was armed by the front office with Tony Pollard and Calvin Ridley to go along with DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks.

The secondary required a major makeover on defense, and the team created waves when they acquired L’Jarius Sneed, a standout defensive back for the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Sneed was paid like a cornerback by the Titans, who thought of him as one of the best available in the trade market.

The conditions of L’Jarius Sneed’s new contract extension with the Titans are as follows: $55M guaranteed, $19M APY over 4 years,” according to Schultz.

After his disappointing season with the Chiefs, Sneed is among the highest-paid defensive backs in the NFL due to his average annual value and guarantee amount.

Sneed provides the Titans with a legitimate No. 1 cornerback on the outside and was among the best at his position in both coverage and the run game.

With their proactive free agency moves, Tennessee has demonstrated that they are a viable contender for a postseason berth, and there is reason to believe that they will be competitive in the congested AFC.
