With their first three draft selections, the Dallas Cowboys will try to build their team further in an effort to make it back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1995. In 2023, Dallas achieved a remarkable 12-5 record, marking their third consecutive season with double-digit victories. But in that time, they have only managed one postseason victory, which is a major letdown for a team with such high expectations.

The Cowboys’ recent discontent is not unique; from 2014 to 2018, the NFC Club lost three divisional-round games. Similar to Jerry Jones’ current club, those Dallas squads featured a deadly air raid attack spearheaded by wide receiver Dez Bryant and quarterback Tony Romo. But Bryant turned to Twitter (X) instead.on Wednesday, asserting that the playmaking potential of the Cowboys was restricted by former head coach Jason Garrett.

Dez Bryant, a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown receptions, has been active on social media recently. He has specifically criticized his old team for their “unwillingness” to pay elite players. On Tuesday, he went viral once more, criticizing former head coach Jason Garrett.

“I recall my first rookie workout with the veterans. Both cornerbacks who had just been to the Pro Bowl were scorched by me. It feels like it was yesterday. I was a real-life Hollywood type of person. The swagga was despised by Coach Garrett. In practice, if I would catch a one-handed pass, he would genuinely shout at me as if it were intentional. With a defender all on me, how in the world can I intentionally grab a one-handed pass? tweeted Bryant.

Bryant makes reference to Mike Jenkins and Terrence Newman, two corners who had excellent seasons during Bryant’s first year. Together, the two intercepted eight passes and defended 37 more.

Bryant went on, “I was told coach Garrett didn’t like me before I was drafted.” People are unaware of about half of the (crap) issues I faced. I did more with a lot less, as I mentioned. Real-life tale!

Under head coach Jason Garrett, Bryant spent eight seasons as a player for the Dallas Cowboys. After playing well in his first two seasons, Bryant—the 24th overall choice in the 2010 NFL Draft—exploded in 2012, with 92 catches, 1,82 yards, and 12 touchdowns. After catching 93 receptions for 1,233 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2013, the Oklahoma State graduate was selected for his first Pro Bowl. The next season, with 16, Bryant had the most touchdown receptions in the NFL. In addition, he made his first and only All-Pro team and has 88 receptions for 1,320 yards.

Bryant’s career was swiftly disrupted by injuries, as he missed 10 games in 2024.and 2024 During his final season with Dallas in 2024, he was back to full strength. Along with Dak Prescott, a second-year starter, he gathered

69 catches for 838 yards and 6 touchdowns. Bryant participated in his final season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, having missed the previous two due to injuries.
